Adult Wheel Throwing - $280
6-week session | 3-hours per session

This 6-week session is a fun way to get your hands dirty and learn proper throwing techniques! You will start with the fundamental basics of wheel throwing techniques such as preparing the clay, centering, opening, and throwing. You will also learn trimming, firing, and glazing. 

If you’re already familiar with the wheel, this is an opportunity for you to reconnect with clay, refine your skills, and even learn new techniques from an experienced potter and instructor. This class is for all skill levels – beginners, intermediate and advanced potters will learn (or relearn) from a variety of weekly demonstrations then be given time to apply those techniques to your own work. This is a fun, hands-on, and relaxing class that also allows for ample time to get creative and practice your craft! Bring your ideas to class and we can fine tune your aesthetics.

Class fee includes: 
• 6 consecutive class sessions
• First 25 lb. bag of clay, firing of all pieces created in class 
• Basic clay tools 

*Any additional clay must be purchased through the studio to subsidize cost of materials, glazing, & firing. The cost of a 25 lb. bag of clay is $30.

*This class is a prerequisite for any beginner wishing to apply for membership.

Date Night: Sip & Spin Wheel Throwing
2-hour Session

Cost: $200.00/couple

Tired of the usual “dinner and a movie” date and looking for something more creative to do with your partner or friend? Date Night at Phoenix Fire Clay Studio is for you!

This is a 1-session, introductory class to clay and the potter’s wheel. Get down and get dirty with demonstrations and hands-on practice of throwing, centering, and opening techniques and making a cylinder. You will have the chance to create your own unique cup, bowl, or vase! You will pick your glaze during date night and we will fire it afterward. Your finished pieces will be ready for pick-up 3 weeks after your date night class and must be picked up within 60 days. BYOB (must be 21+).

Class fee is PER COUPLE/PAIR and includes:

• All clay and supplies
• Hands-on instruction to create your very own piece of pottery
• All trimming, glazing and firing of your piece following class!

Looking for a creative way to bond with your team outside of the office? We offer 2-hour team building sessions for up to 14 people. This is a great way to engage with your team in a fun and creative environment! Bring your own food and beverages and we’ll set up an area in the studio for you to mingle and socialize while others take their turn at the wheel.

Fee: $100 per person + tax (there is a 3% credit card fee also added for payment by credit card).

Session fee includes:

• Clay
• Tools
• Professional instruction
• Trimming and glazing of your piece by your instructor
• Firing of your piece for pickup 3-4 weeks after your session.

Curious about working with clay and want to get your hands a little dirty? Join us for a 1-day handbuilding class! Each workshop will focus on one particular kind of piece ranging from candle votives to butter sleds or hanging planters!

During the 2-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of handbuilding. You will select your glaze color at the conclusion of class and your piece will be fired and glazed for pickup 3-4 weeks later.

Workshop fee includes:
• Clay
• Glaze
• Firing of your piece for pickup 3-4 weeks after class.
